In 2006, Grama Seva Sangam (GSS) partnered with the Spanish organization Haurralde to strengthen its mission of educating and rehabilitating vulnerable children in Pudukkottai district.

With their support, 13 Child Labour Schools were revived and operated effectively to reduce school dropout rates and encourage children to continue their education. The collaboration extended beyond schooling by funding several impactful programs over the years.

Key initiatives included the distribution of school bags, notebooks, and stationery to children, providing school uniforms, and offering sponsorship support to students from economically weaker families. Additionally, income-generating programs were introduced to support families and improve their livelihoods.
