Sethuraman S/o Aran

My name is Sethuraman S/o Aran. I am a poor farmer and I belong to scheduled caste. I have an area of nearly 2 Acre rain fed area and look after my paddy field. I am leading my help only with the help of the income obtained from the harvested paddy in this only field. I am totally dependent of this field in this only field. I am totally dependent of this field only and have no other source income. 

The NGO, GSS, Kilikkudi approached me and told about the uses of Farm pond which harvest the rainwater in rainy season and helps to irrigate my paddy crop when irregular rainy periods, I trusted their words and they excavated a Farm pond in my field. In my earlier cultivation, I have suffered a lot of want of periodical watering for my cultivated fields. There would be no sufficient water for my crops from second and third watering. During this rainy season, the farm pond was filled and the stored water was very useful in second and third watering for my crops. If there was no water all my paddy would have been turned in to straw. 

I am very grateful to the people who have brought this Farm pond scheme and implemented in my field under watershed project through the support of NABARD Bank and TAWDEVA and made me live happily than ever
